How you can help us
Of course donate would be our first wish :) We are a non-profit organization, supported completely by donations. We receive NO state or county funds.
But, if you can not donate cash, there are lots of other things you can donate. We always need:
Canned Cat food. We use A/D which is very expensive for Coconut who has weight issues and won't eat dry.
Towels (clean out your closet of those old towels, the cats don't care if they have a few holes. Old Bathmats are great too, if the backing is washed off that is fine! They cats don't need them to keep from falling in the shower : )
Bleach, we go through approx. 5 gallons per week to keep things sanitary for the animals.
Cat litter, we use approx 4 boxes per week. We prefer Freshsteps scoopable litter.
Crates for the animals, If you know someone that no longer has an animal but still has the crate, or see them at a garage sale, we always need them!
Medical supplies/treatments (Albon, Amoxi suspension, Clavamox, Terramycin, Ear Rinse Solution, etc...)
Help organize and run fundraising events or if you have a business, sponsor an event!
Volunteer a few hours a week playing with and loving on the cats or help us with fundraising events.
Lend your artistic talents to our newsletter, fundraising ideas, t-shirt designs, and other fundraisers!
Go to local businesses and solicit donations for a fundraising event.
Make financial arrangements in your will to cover the cost of caring for your animals after you are gone.
Make a bequest in your will to The Blind Cat Rescue.
Volunteer to make signs and other advertising materials.
Volunteer to make crafts to sell at local craft events.
