Wonton
FIV+ and FeLV+ Gender: Male Approximate age: 11 Years (As of 2025) Arrived From: Gwinette County, GA Arrival Day: Dec 20 2025 Wonton is an 11-year-old FeLV- and FIV-positive kitty who found himself at an animal shelter in Gwinnett County, Georgia, already having beaten more odds than most cats ever face. His body tells many stories: a damaged eye, cauliflower ears from long-ago trauma, and a back affected by spondylosis and arthritis. Yet despite everything he’s endured, Wonton’s spirit remains gentle, loving, and incredibly resilient. Right now, Wonton still has hurdles ahead. He struggles with a persistent upper respiratory infection, and his teeth are in very poor condition. Our first priority is helping him gain healthy weight and build strength; once he’s stable, he will need a major dental extraction to finally give him comfort. He has recently started a new combination of antibiotics, and we’re already seeing encouraging signs as he continues to gain weight. What makes Wonton truly special is his sweetness. He is the kind of cat who quietly wins hearts just by being himself, and that is exactly why there was such a determined effort by both the shelter and our team to give him a real chance at life. Wonton isn’t done telling his story yet, and we are honored to walk beside him as he continues his journey toward comfort, dignity, and love.
