Cale

FIV+ Gender: Male Approximate age: 4 years old (as of 2025) Arrived From: Florence, South Carolina Arrival Day: August 9, 2025
Cale is a sweet and affectionate cat with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He was originally part of a large TNR (trap neuter return) initiative where the plan was to identify and place friendly cats into adoption programs. Sadly, that plan fell through and all of the cats, including the adoptable ones, were released back into the colony. Fortunately, a small compassionate group stepped in when they heard what had happened. They worked hard to recapture the friendly cats, and thanks to their dedication, Cale was rescued a second time. Upon intake, Cale tested positive for both FeLV and FIV, and under normal protocol, the shelter would have euthanized him. But no one could imagine doing that to such a lovable, gentle soul. Cale is a giant ham who wins hearts wherever he goes. He’s especially known for his signature move: making biscuits on the go! He’s proof that even with a tough diagnosis, a cat’s life can still be full of love, joy, and second chances.
