Blind and FIV+ Gender: Female Approximate age: 1 year old Arrived From: Greensboro, NC Arrival Day: May 27, 2026
Clementine
Sweet Clementine has already been through more than any cat should. This beautiful blind, FIV positive girl was surrendered to animal control after one of her eyes ruptured. Rather than seeking the medical care she desperately needed, her owner chose to give her up. Thankfully, Clementine's story is taking a much brighter turn. Despite everything she has endured, Clementine has remained incredibly gentle, loving, and trusting. She greets everyone she meets with a sweet personality and a warm heart that shines through her challenges. Since arriving at our sanctuary, she has been receiving the care she deserves and is healing nicely.Once she has fully recovered, Clementine will undergo surgery to remove her damaged eyes (an enucleation) and be spayed. After that, she can focus on what she does best, being a happy, affectionate cat who enjoys love, comfort, and companionship. Blindness and FIV do not define Clementine. They are simply small parts of her story. What truly defines her is her resilience, her sweetness, and her ability to keep trusting despite the hardships she has faced. We can't wait to watch this brave girl continue to heal and thrive. Welcome to your new beginning, Clementine.
