Mandy
8/18 Sweet Mandy was found starving as a stray in Kentucky. The lady that found her posted on line that she had found the cat but is unable to keep her. She was going to be going out of town and if did not find a place for her she would be taken to the pound. She knew the cat being blind, sick and old, she would not have a good outcome if she went in there. Another kind lady took her to prevent her from being put in the pound. She had other animals and was keep her in a cage. She did not feel that was going to be quality of life for her and reached out for help. She also did not want to take her to the pound. Her family drove 9 hours each way to bring her to us. So, here she is. Old and blind and finally getting a forever home with Blind Cat Rescue. She is very grateful that with your support she will finally have a home and the care she needs. She will be going to the vet for a complete medical work up. Update: this old girl must be 15+, has horrible kidney disease, tumors, and is very very sweet. Sponsored By Michelle - Thank you!
Sponsored by Susan - Thank you!
Sponsored by Kristin - Thank you! Sponsored by Casey - Thank you!
10/25/2018 When sweet Mandy arrived she was in horrible condition. She had been living on the streets, blind and starving. When we took her to the vet her ultrasound showed lots of tumors in her abdominal area with a strong suspicion that they were cancerous. We knew her stay was not going to be a long one with us. Today was the day to tell her goodbye. She was ready. We were so blessed to have been able to give her 2 months of quality life after the hell she had endured. We wish it had been longer. She was a sweet old lady who sure loved to curl up on a soft bed.
