Sheila
2012  Sheila was turned in to Miami Dade Animal Control as a stray. She was very lucky that there is a wonderful rescue in Miami that works hard at getting as many animals out of Animal Control as they can.  Sheila is FELV+.  They contacted us to see if we had room for her.  Not only did they pull her, they also pulled Sara  (who is also FELV+) from the shelter. They found a temporary foster home, took them to the vet to get medical certificates and a volunteer drove them to us. She shows how much of a village it sometimes takes to save a life. She is very sweet. You can watch her every day LIVE  on her MeShare camera She is in house 2, room 2 Sponsored by Gail - Thank you! Sponsored by Emily - Thank you! Sponsored by Dana - Thank you! 1/26/2018  Sheila has been having medical issues for a long time.  We knew her time was coming to an end.  Today she was obviously not doing well,  she was in pain,  she no longer had quality of life. It was time to let her go.  She spent her last hours with us cuddled with some of her kitty buddies. We were blessed to have had 6 years with her.  It is so rare for us to get to have that many years with the leukemia cats.  She will be missed by all.
