Wayne's story is one that tugs at your heart, but it's also one with a happy ending. For about a year, a kind woman noticed Wayne living around her apartment complex and made sure he never went hungry. As time passed, she realized just how special he was. When she finally brought him inside to take him to the veterinarian, she discovered he was leukemia positive. Everything about Wayne suggests that he once had a home. He is incredibly sweet, gentle, and affectionate. He uses the litter box perfectly, is comfortable living indoors, and settled into home life as though he'd never been away. It's hard not to think that someone, somewhere, left this wonderful boy behind to fend for himself. Thankfully, Wayne's story didn't end there. His guardian angel kept him safe indoors while searching for the right place where he would be loved and cared for. That search led her to us here at Blind Cat Rescue.Wayne has left his days of surviving outside behind him and is ready to enjoy the life he always deserved. A life filled with cozy beds, all the pets, good meals, and people who adore him. Despite being FeLV positive, Wayne is happy, loving, and full of affection. Cats with FeLV can live wonderful, meaningful lives, and Wayne is a perfect reminder that every cat deserves a chance.We are so grateful to the compassionate woman who refused to give up on him.
