Here we have it folks, the youngest FIV kitty to ever pass
through BCR’s doors, everyone meet Winnie! This little beauty
was origianlly found in the middle of a busy road during a stormy
day in Fayetteville. Her mother had unfortuantely been hit and her
sibling had run off. A passerby ended up moving her out of the
road so she would’t get hurt and placed her behind a gas station.
They then made a post on Facebook where a very kind woman,
who also happens to work in a vet office, saw the post and went
out in the rain to search for her. Thank goodness they found her!
Poor Winnie was cold and alone. Not to mention she was so
soaked that they had initially thought that she was a gray kitten.
She scooped Winnie up and was able to bring her back to the
office that she works at. That is where it was discovered that
this little lady is FIV+. After discovering this news, they reached
out to us and asked if we would be able to take her in. After seeing
her cute little photo and hearing of how she was saved, how could
we say no. We knew that we had to give her the best possible life
here with us and more importantly, give her that chance to grow
up in a happy home after enduring all that she did.
Winnie is only a 1 pound kitten right now, so she is unable to be
spayed and have her proper vaccines. As she gets older and gains
more weight, she will get her vaccines and be able to go into a
big room and make friends! For now, she gets to hangout in the
office and be a desk kitty, as well as have her own space in the
lobby. She is already being so spoiled and loved! We cannot wait
to watch her grow up and share her with you all!
